May Announcements

Welcome to May! We have more exciting programs coming up this month, so be sure to scroll through and see what is in store.

One item I'd like to highlight that isn't listed below is a Meet & Greet on May 12 from 10-Noon with our newest employees, Kelly Studnicki and Patti Redrup, who will be working with our younger patrons. Kelly is our Youth Services Specialist dedicated to ages Birth to Kindergarten. Patti is the Youth Services Specialist working with Grades 1-6. If you have any young ones in your life, bring them by! Check out the Children's Programming page for more information.

I've also been asked to extend an invitation to anyone who is looking for an afternoon book club to join. The Book Club sponsored by MCPASR meets at the library on the second Thursdays of each month at 1pm. For the May 8th meeting, they will be discussing Appalachian Summer by Ann Gabhart. Check with the Main Desk if you need a copy. You don't need to be a member of MCPASR to join them. Refreshments are provided and they invite you to bring a friend!

The Board of Directors meets at 6pm on May 20 in the Baughman Community Room.

The library will be closed on May 24 for the Memorial Day weekend. We'll also be starting our summer Saturday hours (9am - 1:30pm) a week early on May 31. Those shorter hours are only for Saturdays and will continue through the end of July.
