April's quilt block is "Log Cabin". This block works up quickly. Traditionally the center square is red or yellow to symbolize the hearth at the center of the home.
This is a perfect chance to use up some scraps. You'll want a center color, and a few strips of light fabrics and a few strips of dark fabrics. We'll be using 2 1/2" strips for this pattern.
