Volunteer, advocate, Donate

A day to encourage people to do good, Giving Tuesday started in 2012 and has grown to be an international effort. Every year, Giving Tuesday follows Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

Please join us this year by supporting the Greenville Area Public Library. What does your support do for your community?

You help provide

  • A welcoming place — Somewhere cool in the summer, warm in the winter, and inviting all year long, you help keep the doors open and the lights on!

  • Computer and internet access — Not everyone has access to the internet at home. You help make computers and the internet available for fun, school, or work.

  • Activities for all ages — From Read to Me to lectures, you help provide fun and educational opportunities to our community.

  • Community connections — Groups and organizations from the community use the library for meeting space. From focus groups to club sign-ups to open interviews, you help provide a place where people come together.

  • Job searching and resume help — Your support gives the community a much needed place to look for job openings, work on resumes, and fill out applications.
