November News

November Announcements

We have thirty-two different raffle basket options on display at the library. They contain an array of items and gift cards from all over our community. You can check our Facebook page for pictures or stop in to see what you can enter to win. Raffle tickets will be on sale until Noon on Friday, November 7 at the library and at the "Robin Hood Ain't Looking So Good" murder mystery dinner theater that evening. You don't need to be present to win. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed!

After being closed for a couple of days, we have our new computer system up and running. You can see the new online catalog here. It's still in progress as the book covers have not been imported as of writing this -- but you can log in with your library card number! Your password defaults to the last four digits of your library card number. You can change that once you're logged in. You can also download the Librista app to your phone or tablet and access your account that way!

In the online catalog you'll see if you have any items overdue, due soon, checked out, ready for pickup or on reserve. With the items out, you'll be able to renew things you have out as long as no one else has reserved it. You'll be able to opt in to text notifications under "Set Up Notifications".

The new system sends out emails to notify you about changes to your account, including when you check out books. The emails come from info@greenvillelibrary.net, so you may want to check your spam folders and mark that as safe!  As it went live, you might have received notifications that are a little weird. Please hang in there. We appreciate your patience.

There will be a Library Board meeting on Tuesday, November 18 at 6pm. For Thanksgiving, we close at noon on November 26 and we'll be closed November 27. We're open Black Friday and Small Business Saturday!

I hope to see you soon,

Jeanne Ball, Director
