October Announcements
If you've called the library in the last few days, you might have noticed something new. We have a new phone system! You'll hear a message asking you to select one of a number of options. The two choices most people will need are to either dial 1 to reach staff on the first floor and the Main Desk or dial 2 for the Children's Room. There are a couple of other choices, or you can always press 0 to reach someone on staff who can either help you or redirect your call. When we're closed, you'll hear a different message with our hours and the option to leave a message.
The library is once again holding a murder mystery dinner theater fundraiser. This year's show "Robin Hood Ain't Looking So Good" will be held on Friday, November 7 at 6pm at Thiel College's Lutheran Heritage Room. Tickets are available for purchase online. If you'd prefer to make your reservations in person, you can do so at the library. Gather your merry band and come out for a fun evening! We sold out last year, so make your reservations early. You can find more information about the show on our website.
As part of the fundraiser, we'll once again raffle off baskets donated by various businesses, groups, and individuals. Raffle tickets will be on sale for two weeks before the dinner theater at the library and at the event itself.
The library will be closed for training on Thursday, October 30 and Friday, October 31. We are getting a new library circulation system. You'll see a new look in our catalog, so keep an eye out for more information. The new system will be live November 1 and we'll be open again on that Saturday.
I hope to see you soon!
