Adding Watch Terms to Your Account

Did you know our new library circulation system can notify you when certain items are added to our collection? Using your online account, you can specify watch terms, like your favorite authors, subjects, or series, and our system will let you know when we've added an item that fits your criteria!

Here's how to get started:

  1. Log in to your online patron account. Your username is your 14-digit library card number with no spaces, and your default password is the last 4 digits of your library card number.

  2. Click Watching.

  3. On the next screen, click the green underlined links to choose whether your watch term is an author, a subject, or a series as well as your desired material type (book. large print, DVD, etc.), then enter your watch term (ex. Freida McFadden) into the text box and click the green plus (+) sign.  You can also add watch terms while browsing the catalog by clicking NOTIFY anywhere you see it!

  4. Our system will now send you an email or a text notification (depending on your contact preferences) whenever we have added an item that fits your criteria!  Please note, however, that this will not automatically reserve these items for you! You will still need to reserve watch term items yourself, either through your online account or by contacting the library.
